Fun88 partners with Dota 2 champions OG

Fun88 has expanded its esports presence by securing a ‘multi-year agreement’ to become the ‘global betting partner’ of Dota 2 pro-team OG.

The Isle of Man online bookmaker has, therefore, undertaken its biggest esports sponsorship commitment to date by partnering with the back-to-back champions (2018 and 2019) of ‘The International’, Dota 2’s annual world team championships hosted by Valve.

Updating the market, Fun88 said that the OG partnership would serve as a key strategic partner for the planned upgrade of its esports betting markets, as it looks to expand its in-play and pre-play betting options, as well as real-time and post-match insights.

“We have an unswerving desire to develop premium esports content,” read a Fun88 statement. “With OG,  we are working alongside the most engaging team in the entire esports ecosystem, we want to offer customers fresh and progressive ways to interact with the games they love.”

Fun88’s planned esports upgrade will initially focus on Dota 2 markets  ‘to bring fans closer to the Dota 2 action than ever before’.

Juan M. R. Luna, CEO at OG, added: “The OG Esports Dota 2 legacy is built on the values of Friendship, Trust, and Competitive Excellence. We are thrilled to welcome Fun88 to both esports and the OG Family. This signifies a great tie-up between the market-leading online gaming brand and the TI back-to-back champions.

“As our team-belief of ‘Dream OG’ aligns perfectly with FUN88’s own brand slogan ‘Live Your Dream’, we are committed to partner together to ignite worldwide Dota 2 players, firing fans’ passion and excitement to pursue their dreams.”
