Betway grows esports portfolio with ESL partnership

Online bookmaker Betway has confirmed that it has extended its partnership with ESLGaming (ESL), which will see the operator continue to act as the exclusive sponsor of ESL’s largest flagship events.

The extension, which includes a clause to renew the partnership after one year, will give the operator exclusive “behind the scenes” access, in addition to VIP hospitality, in-stream and in-stadia branding, as well as host of experiential and digital assets.

Adam Savinson, Head of esports at Betway, commented: “ESL are among the elite event organizers across the global esports landscape, so we’re delighted to extend this relationship following another successful year for all involved.

“At Betway we remain committed to reaching and entertaining even more esports fans around the globe.”

The bookmaker will continue to sponsor the largest CS:GO events on the circuit, including IEM Katowice, ESL One Cologne and Season 9 and 10 of the ESL Pro League, among many others.

Bernhard Mogk, SVP of Global Sales & Business Development at ESL, celebrated the extended partnership: “We are glad to continue our partnership with such a strong and reliable partner like Betway. Having Betway as a truly global partner, across various CS:GO tournaments and leagues, creates benefits for fans all over the world.”

Betway has recently announced that it would also be sponsoring German esports team Berlin International Gaming (BIG), growing the operator’s esports portfolio.
