The Macao Gaming Show has said it will be providing further assistance to international buyers looking to apply for a Macao SAR Government travel and accommodation subsidy with the appointment of a dedicated member of staff to help facilitate applications.
Under the government scheme, which is part of the Direccao dos Servicos de Economia’s (DSE) Exhibition Stimulation Program, buyers can be subsidised with up to 50 per cent of the round trip transportation expense to and from Macau and up to three nights’ accommodation costs redeemed at local hotels.
MGS Coordinator Mary Li, who will be helping to facilitate subsidy applications, said: “This is a progressive and welcome initiative from the DSE and we want to ensure that Qualified Buyers from across the globe are able to attend what is fast shaping up to be Asia’s most significant gaming exhibition, no matter what the size of their organisation is.
“There is a real sense of energy and anticipation in the build-up to the second MGS and we want to help facilitate applications to the Macao government if possible. The scheme is an important part of Macao’s commitment to ensuring all buyers, no matter the size of the company, are able to attend important global exhibitions such as the Macao Gaming Show and we are certainly encouraging anyone interested in attending the show to get in touch to discuss this opportunity,” she added.
