South African businessman Craig Venter has announced the launch of his new enterprise ClickaBet, in partnership with African online gambling specialist BetTech Gaming.
Venter the former CEO of electrical unit and circuit supplier Altech Corp, detailed to local media that he had been working on the new project for the past 15 months.
The businessman further declared that it was the optimal time to be launching a digital sports betting service for South Africa, noting that the market had seen 20% year-on-year growth. Venter pointed that current market offerings were not servicing online betting consumers sufficiently, thus ClickaBet sees a real opportunity to grow its operations rapidly.
Partnering with platform supplier BetTech Gaming, ClickaBet will aim to offer a fast, reliable and user friendly multi-market offering to consumers.
Clickabet has secured a South African gambling license through the Western Cape Gambling & Racing Board.
On announcing the upcoming launch of Clickabet in South Africa, Venter would confirm the appointment of former Sun International Casinos’ executive Neil Walters as the operators General Manager.
Gearing up for its full launch, Venter would further detail to media that Clickabet had established plans for a high coverage multi-content South African marketing campaign which would see the operator become official sponsor of rugby team the Toyota Free State Cheetahs.
