Swedish iGaming affiliate Leadstar Media has expanded its global footprint after taking its My Betting site to Australia.
My Betting Sites was launched in 2019, offering sports betting content and bookmaker reviews for users in the UK, Canada, Kenya, India, Nigeria and New Zealand. The latest expansion into Australia marks the affiliate’s 21st operational jurisdiction.
Leadstar Media CEO Eskil Kvarnström told us that the launch of My Betting Sites Australia, coupled with the launch of My Betting Sites New Zealand in October, is part of the company’s plan to provide sports betting comparison sites to new punters from around the world.
“Entering the Oceanian iGaming industry, in Australia and New Zealand, was a natural next step for us as we look to target markets with strong sports betting industries and a high demand for quality online betting sites,” he said.
“Australia has one of the highest rates of betting per capita, and its strict licensing system has meant that all of the online operators there have well-regarded, quality sites.”
By expanding its presence down under, Leadstar will offer Aussie punters the chance to compare the country’s most popular betting sites with in-depth reviews written by Australian betting experts.
Kvarnström continued: “Our aim is to facilitate punters’ needs as they search for the best betting sites in Australia. As with all our products, we want to make the sports betting experience seamless for both beginners and for more experienced players.”
Having also expanded its operations into Japan, France, Brazil, Peru and Italy this year, Leadstar’s Director of Products Jacob Ljunggren emphasised that the addition of the Australian market presents a number of new, exciting opportunities for the growing company.
He added: “Australia has been one of those markets we’ve wanted to enter for a while now. Aussies love sports, and betting, and we have a proven track record of helping sports fans find the top betting websites in their country, so we’re excited to also begin helping Australians too.
“We’ve got a great team working on My Betting Sites Australia, some old heads and some young talent, which will help us to create a product that we believe will become one of Australia’s top sports betting affiliate sites.”
The global expansion doesn’t seem to be slowing down for the affiliate, with plans for a Romanian, Finnish, Hungarian and a third Spanish site already in the works.
