Stockholm-listed industry affiliate Better Collective A/S has expanded its senior management team after appointing Shona ODonnell as Head of Strategic Events.
A figurehead in B2B event production for the global gaming sector, ODonnell joins Better Collective from Clarion Gaming, where she most recently served as Event Director, leading the firm’s portfolio of international executive conferences.
Confirming the appointment, Jesper Søgaard, CEO of Better Collective, said: “For the last many years, Shona has been a core part in developing some of the strongest events within the industry. We look forward to bringing these skills in-house to upgrade Better Collective’s presence at events, as well as building an event strategy for our company that will strengthen our position in the industry even further.”
In her remit as Better Collective Head of Strategic Events, ODonnell will be in charge of the publisher’s event participation as well as building a long-term strategy for the company’s event planning stakeholders.

I look forward to bringing my knowledge within event planning and execution to the company, and to be a core part of the very interesting event projects that Better Collective aims to bring to life.”
Further Better Collective updates announced yesterday saw the Copenhagen company launch a media partnerships division which will be headed up by former editor in chief of Metroxpress Denmark, Simon Hovmand-Stilling, who joined Better Collective in late 2018 as Director Group Media Sites.
