Catena Media appoints Per Hellberg as CEO

Stockholm-listed Catena Media Plc has announced Per Hellberg as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), taking up his new position on the board of directors later this year.

In addition, it has also been detailed that acting CEO Persson Ekdahl will return to his role as Board Member and governance advisor. 

Citing extensive international commercial experience from a variety of industries, including iGaming, publishing, consumer electronics and mobile telecommunication, the Stockholm-listed industry affiliate marketing firm also states “a proven track record in M&A, organisational efficiency and creating strong growth and improving operating profit.”

Regarding his new role, Hellberg commented: “Catena Media is a one-of-a-kind company with a compelling history, an almost unprecedented growth rate and vast potential.

Previously holding the role of CEO at Nordic Gaming Group, where he completed the divestment of the company to Betsson AB, Per has also worked in a similar role at Readily International AB in addition to Marketing Director for Sony Corporation.

Catena states that the various roles within major corporations in a multitude of countries worldwide, have built a platform for which “to build for the future.”

Hellberg is expected to take up his new position by autumn of this year, no later than September 3.
