Industry technology fund Optimizer Invest appoints Carla Maree Vella as CEO

Malta-based venture capital firm Optimizer Invest has confirmed the appointment of Carla Maree Vella as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Vella joins the investment fund from Nasdaq Stockholm-listed European betting operator Betsson AB, where she served as Managing Director of the Betsson.com brand (2015-2016).

As Optimizer Invest’s new CEO, Vella will play a key role in identifying new venture investments and opportunities for the technology-focused fund.

At present Optimizer Invest venture portfolio includes igaming firms Betit Group, Super Lenny, Thrills and Catena Media.

Vella will assume her new position on May 30^th 2016; She will be based at Optimizer Invest’s headquarters at Sliema, Malta.
