European sports betting operator Unibet Plc has announced that Head of iGaming Daniel Eskola has been promoted to Chief Product Officer (CPO)

Eskola will take on board a number of product and operational responsibilities from COO Britt Boeskov who is set to take a requested break from her role.

Unibet CEO Henrik Tjärnström has confirmed the senior management changes to staff, as Eskola will now be charged with leading the operator’s product initiatives and strategies on all key verticals. Eskola will further be tasked with finding his replacement as Head of iGaming for Unibet.

Speaking to industry news source EGR Magazine Eskola commented on his promotion

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with multiple business areas after having a strong focus on gaming for the last few years. The chance to join the executive management team as well will be a great experience to learn at a senior level within the company”

Eskola has held a role in Unibet ongoing corporate strategy to focus on in-house development. As Head of iGaming Eskola launched Unibet stand-alone online poker platform. In February, the operator would announce that it would launch its own bingo product, moving away from its third-party bingo network agreement with Playtech’s Virtue Fusion.
