Industry leading software and services provider Playtech, has announced today that it is looking to add a further 300 employees to its 4000 global workforce in the next eight months, as the company looks to roll-out several large scale omni-channel projects in the UK and emerging markets.

Playtech has outlined that it will look to significantly grow its investment and resource on its omni-channel technology offering – Playtech ONE. The services provider is set to announce upcoming omni-channel partnerships with new betting firms and government owned gambling operators.

Sports betting will see the largest investment as part of the Playtech ONE strategic roadmap and is Playtech’s fastest growing product vertical.

Ahead of a number of deals, and in order to strengthen support for existing sports-driven contracts, Playtech Sports has been reorganised with all omni-channel sports capabilities and technology efforts merged into, and operated as, one division.

Playtech Governance has pinpointed the success of its omni-channel partnership with UK bookmaker Coral. The partnership saw the launch of Coral Connect, which rolled out Playtech services across more than 1800 nationwide retail estates, and offered cross connectivity with digital and mobile verticals.

Playtech highlighted that the partnership had seen Coral gain more than 200,000 new customers in the past 12 months

Mor Weizer, CEO, Playtech said: “Playtech’s revolutionary technology enables a seamless, one wallet and one account experience with content available across all channels, online and mobile, and across all devices.

“The success of Connect has been a game-changer for the industry and for us as a business. It is a technology offering we adopted long before any of our competitors and is the future of betting and gaming. Therefore, with a number of significant agreements close to completion, we are currently undergoing a large-scale investment plan in order to deliver the maximum success for these projects.

“With expertise across all products, verticals, channels, software and hardware and our proven track record, Playtech is the only global gaming company with the ability to successfully deliver large-scale, regulated government and non-government projects in tandem with large-scale technology deployments,” Weizer added.
