Shaz Mirza heads up PokerStars mobile services

Amaya Gaming operators of leading industry poker operator PokerStars has announced the appointment of former GTECH Interactive Director of Mobile Shaz Mirza as PokerStars’ Director of Mobile Services.

Mirza will lead the strategy of PokerStars mobile product development. Mirza will additionally be in charge of user experience on PokerStars mobile channels as the operator looks to optimise its user engagement throughout its mobile verticals.

Mirza will work on mobile services from PokerStars central London office. A Company spokesperson told Industry news source EGR Magazine

“Shaz brings more than a decade of experience working on mobile gaming products as we look to improve our customer experience,”

Mirza joins team PokerStars having led mobile strategy for gambling technology provider GTECH’s digital gaming division GTECH Interactive (2012 – 2015). Mirza has further served senior mobile development roles at Ladbrokes where he served as New Channel Manager (2008 – 2012).

Mirza joins PokerStars as the poker operator prepares for the launch of its European facing sportsbook to be rolled out in Q1 2014.
