screen-shot-2016-11-20-at-16-48-18Professional online betting exchange Smakets, has ranked fourth on the ‘Deloitte Fast 50’ UK technology and innovation index.

The ‘Deloitte Fast 50’ recognises the fastest growing new enterprises within the UK technology sector. Launched in 2008, Smarkets is the only UK betting industry incumbent to have ranked in Deloitte’s prestigious 2016 index.

Gaining the fourth spot on the ‘Fast 50’, Deloitte recognised Smarkets fast sales growth within the saturated UK betting market and the operator’s continued corporate focus on in-house development.

A pleased Jason Trost CEO of Smarkets commented on Deloitte’s recognition “I’m really excited for the coming years and being included on the Fast 50 list is a big boost as we strive to establish ourselves in the top tier of technology companies.”

The firm’s Fast 50 inclusion follows the company’s fifth-placed ranking in The Sunday Times’ annual Tech Track 100 list in September. Earlier this year, the company announced revenue growth of 1568% and operating profit growth of 429% for the year ending December 31, 2015.

Placing ‘technology first’ Smarket’s management disclosed to SBC, that in 2017 the firm would continue its aggressive expansion as the enterprise looks to hire several positions within tech and engineering teams.
