Seeking to optimise its player management systems, UK online bookmaker Sky Bet has partnered with data management and customer analytics software provider Cloudera.

Utilising Cloudera Enterprise software, Sky Bet will aim to better personalise its product base benefitting customers with faster rewards and better-refined user engagement.

The use of Cloudera systems will see Sky Bet move away from its current shared data warehouse, using Cloudera data management and user analytics tracking.

Confirming Cloudera as new data partners, Sky Bet management stated that the company was looking to increase its real-time capabilities adjusting to player trends and habits on its product portfolio.

Ted Moss, Sports Betting Director at Sky Bet, commented to European Tech business news source TechWeekEurope.co.uk: “In terms of the opportunities it’s provided us with, we’ve already seen some significant improvements in three areas: analytics, front-end differentiation of personalisation, and fulfilment speeds of promotions.

“We were using our own warehouse before, which hampered us in all those three areas just mentioned. It’s been a huge breath of fresh air having Cloudera in close. The processing power is completely transformed.”
