Gibraltar based bookmaker BetVictor has announced that it has hired five new senior members of staff, and made an internal promotion, following a period of sustained growth for the firm.
CEO Andreas Meinrad said of the news: “We are delighted with the quality of our new appointments. They bring with them the necessary skills and abilities identified last year as being fundamental to the business as we look to grow to the next level.”
He added: “2015 was an excellent year for the company and this is a terrific start to 2016.”
Germon Knopp has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and will start on 1st February. Shane Stafford will also be starting his new role as Head of Brand and Creative next month. Stafford was most recently Creative Director at Paddy Power, a company with whom he’d worked in some capacity since 2006.
Emma Tompkins is now Head of Casino & Poker at BetVictor. Tompkins has worked for some major operators in the industry including bwin.party and 888.
Kris Marshall has also joined as Head of BI and Analytics, and arrives with considerable gaming industry experience having previously worked with Gala Coral and 32Red. The new Head of Legal at the company is Nyna Solanki having gained substantial commercial experience outside of public practice most recently within the insurance sector.
The in-house promotion was for Sarah Wood, who joined BetVictor as Business Compliance Manager back in June, and has also recently taken over as Head of Compliance with overall management of the Compliance, Regulatory and Responsible Gaming functions. Wood began her career in online gaming with Gala Interactive.
