Global gaming group Webis Holdings PLC has revealed that it is in talks with the Hong Kong Jockey Club to extend the partnership between the two organisations.
In an AGM announcement, where it detailed that all resolutions at its latest annual general meeting were passed, Webis said that its US racing subsisdiary, WatchandWager.com LLC, is in advanced negotiations with Hong Kong Jockey Club to extend the contract to provide access to the HKJC pari-mutuel pools.
The board has stated that it will release further details upon the conclusion of these negotiations.
WatchandWager offers pool betting in the US on horseracing and even runs its own racing track in California. It is also Webis’ main operation after it closed the betinternet.com online bookmaker last year.
The firm also saw a sharp shift in its share price, but the board noted that it was unaware of any reason that would lead to such a movement and confirmed that there are no further material operational or corporate updates to report at this time.
