Saturday punters furious as Betfair exchange suffers severe downtime

The Betfair betting exchange suffered severe downtime on Saturday afternoon, leaving eager punters furious with the operator’s services.

A jam packed sports schedule, which featured afternoon Premier League matches and the Rugby World Cup semi final between New Zealand Vs South Africa proved to be too much for the betting exchange servers to handle.

The embarrassing incident for Betfair, would see its betting exchange down for the majority of Saturday afternoon.

Angry punters took to social media channels to vent their frustration at the operator. Some further pointing out, that with the exchange being down they could not lay-off the bets they had placed.

Betfair support issued numerous apologies and exchange updates via Twitter (@BetfairHelpdesk), notifying customers that their engineering team were working on solving the problem.
