Ahead of the start of a new Ligue 1 football season on Friday 7 August, French licensed online gambling operator Winamax has confirmed exclusive partnership agreements with football clubs FC Nantes and Olympique Gymnaste Club Nice (OGC Nice).

Winamax confirmed that it had reached one year betting partnership agreements with both clubs. OGC Nice will additionally display Winamax branding on their club football shorts during the 2015/2016 Ligue 1 season.

The operator who gained a French sports betting license in May 2014, will use the partnerships to increase promotion of its sports betting services. Winamax online gambling services will be promoted throughout the football clubs stadiums; Stade de la Beaujoire (FC Nantes – Capacity 38000) and Allianz Riviera (OGC Nice – Capacity 35,000).

Winamax brands will further be promoted throughout the football clubs’ digital and social channels.

The expansion of Winamax’s French football coverage comes just weeks after the announcement that the operator had sealed its biggest marketing partnership with l’Olympique de Marseilles, Ligue 1’s best followed football club.

Winamax governance has stated that the upcoming Ligue 1 football season will be a critical period for the operator, as its looks to establish itself as a leading brand in the French sports betting market.
