French betting operator Betclic Everest Group, has recorded its first profit since 2008 as it announced €1.1 million in net gains for its 2014 performance.
The operator announced that total group EBITDA had increased 53% to €40 million, furthermore the operator had also seen an increase to its 2014 revenues with turnover up 15%.
The posting of a €1 million profit sees Betclic reverse an €8 million loss for 2013 operating performance. The operators improved performance had been driven by uplift in wagering and player activity recorded during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking to French media Isabelle Andres CEO of Betclic Everest stated that she was pleased with the operator’s progress in 2014, as the group adjusted to tough market conditions for French online gambling operators.
Betclic Everest has been granted a French online gambling licence extension to operate licensed online gambling services for a further five years till 2020. Betclic Everest currently operates five online gambling brands including Betclic, bet-at-home.com, Everest Poker, Expeky and Monte Carlo Casino.
