Scientific Games boosts Lottery product engagement with Karma Gaming acquisition

Nasdaq-listed Scientific Games Corporation (Scientific Games) has confirmed that it has entered a binding agreement to acquire the complete games portfolio of lottery and instant games provider Karma Gaming.

Updating investors, Scientific Games governance stated that the acquisition would ‘accelerate its interactive strategy roadmap’ by furthering its capabilities within interactive lotteries.

Founded in 2012 by developers Paul LeBlanc and Jay Aird, Karma Gaming creates game-based solutions which can be integrated within lottery operator’s systems, bringing new lotto and instant games to their games inventory. Karma Gaming clients include; Loto Quebec, The Georgia Lottery, IGT and Intralot.

Announcing the deal, Jim Kennedy Executive Vice President and Group Chief Executive of Lottery at Scientific Games was pleased to have acquired Karma Gaming for its future services;

“Through continuous R&D, the creation of more innovative games and promotions by our Digital Content Studio, and strategic aquisitions such as this portfolio of games from Karma Gaming, Scientific Games continues to expand our interactive business with products that help our lottery customers provide unique solutions to lottery players that help them to move seamlessly between the retail and mobile/online lottery entertainment experience.”
