RGT announces Kilimanjaro Trek industry fundraisers

mountrgtMarc Etches CEO of the Responsible Gambling Trust has announced the fundraisers of the 2016 Mount Kilimanjaro Trek for charity.

The planned trek will be RGT’s fourth annual fundraising expedition and the charity’s second visit to Kilimanjaro National Park. The previous expeditions have raised more than £170,000 to help minimise gambling-related harm in Britain.

A total of 31 industry trekkers, including Etches will set out to scale the 5,895m volcano in February 2016. The trekkers will also be helping the Responsible Gambling Trust towards their target of raising £70,000 for education, prevention and treatment services.

RGT detailed that Gala Coral will send a team of 12 on the expedition and William Hill will be represented by a team of five. Enthusiastic climbers will further represent Genting UK, Inspired Gaming, Praesepe, SG Gaming and The Bingo Association.

Marc Etches, Chief Executive of the Responsible Gambling Trust said:

“These expeditions are to raise funds towards education, prevention and treatment services to help minimise gambling-related harm in Britain and they are a great opportunity for people in the industry to show support for RGT’s work. I’m delighted we have a full complement of gambling industry trekkers for our fourth annual fundraising expedition. I first climbed Kilimanjaro with a team of volunteers in 2013 and the experience was tough but very rewarding.”
