Sandown Park Racecourse in Springvale Victoria (Australia), is set to be re-named Ladbrokes Park under a new sponsorship agreement with between Ladbrokes Australia and race operator Melbourne Racing Club.
The racecourse will attach the Ladbrokes title from January 1 2016 as part of a three year partnership. The deal sees Sandown drop William Hill as title sponsors, as the operator looks to increase its brand coverage within the Australian racing market.
Melbourne Racing Club Chief Executive Brodie Arnhold welcomed the title sponsorship of Ladbrokes for Sandown, commenting
“As a club we’re always looking for ways to progress and offer a wide range of innovative products to our customers, therefore partnering with Ladbrokes is the perfect fit for us,” he said.
“We’ve enjoyed a great association with William Hill over seven years and would like to thank them for all their support in that time. We look forward to working with them for the remainder of the year.”
Ladbrokes will take the naming rights to key races starting with the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes on Saturday, as well as the Blue Diamond Stakes in February.
