SIS, supplier of products and services to the retail and online betting markets, has committed to a further three years of Lambourn Trainers Association sponsorship.

Demonstrating SIS’ long-term commitment to horseracing, the sponsorship can provide a monetary lifeline for racehorse owners. It will continue to make it possible for LTA members to claim back VAT on their racing activities until at least August 2018.

Since the sponsorship began in 2012, more than 5,700 runners have carried the SIS logo as a result, including 598 winners across both jumps and flat.

SIS also recently announced an extension to their support for the Racehorse Owner’s Sponsorship Scheme up to August 2018, which offers a similar VAT benefit for the Racehorse Owner’s Association’s 7,000 members.

Gary Smith, Chief Executive of SIS, said: “Our commitment to the success and competitiveness of horseracing stretches back almost 30 years, and SIS is proud to commit to the LTA for a further three years until August 2018. Almost 6,000 runners have already benefitted from our sponsorship and we look forward to seeing another 6,000 past the post.”

He added: “SIS will continue to strengthen our wide-ranging support for a sport that is close to our hearts and vital to our customers.”

Merrick Francis, Chairman of the LTA, said: “Horseracing is an expensive business and every year we’re seeing owners and trainers finding it tougher to stay involved. SIS’ sponsorship makes a real difference to LTA members and we’re delighted that SIS will continue supporting us for at least another three years.”
