Camelot the UK national lottery provider has announced ticket sales of £7.27 billion in 2014/15 financial year, recording an increase in ticket sales of 546 million on the preceding year.
Camelot governance highlighted that the surge in ticket sales had been driven by consumers using Camelot’s digital inventory to purchase tickets and additional lottery products. Uptake of its digital lottery services had seen Camelot record £1.34 billion on digital lottery and subscription sales, representing a £163 million increase on 2013 performance.
In September 2014 Camelot announced the release of its new online lottery platform, which was further supported with a website re-launch. Camelot have further boosted their online product offering by bringing new mobile instant win games.

The national lottery operator further announced that it had awarded over £4bn in prize money to players over the course of the year, supplying a sum of £1.8bn for charitable projects and good causes over the same period.
