Established in 2001, the Sportradar headquarters are in St.Gallen, Switzerland, but it has a presence in one or two other places too. Trondheim, Oslo, Stockholm, London, Paris, Barcelona, Munich, Gera, Bremen, Hamburg, Linz, Vienna, Zlin, Ljubljana, Tallinn, Moscow, Durban, Hong Kong, Montevideo, Usk, New York, Sarasota, Saint Paul, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, Beijing, Athens, Rome, Singapore and Kiev are all locations in which the firm has an office or representation.
Sportradar is a firm which provides sports and betting-related data to bookmakers, media companies, sports federations and state authorities. Since 2001 it has become one of the world leaders in this field and currently work alongside UEFA, the International Tennis Federation and the Bundesliga.
The company slogan is ‘driven by facts’ and it’s the commitment and dedication to fulfilling this that has seen the firm partner with over 600 clients worldwide. This client list includes William Hill, bet365, Paddy Power and a host of other major players in the betting industry.
Sportradar has expanded to such an extent that it now employs over 800 people in over 25 locations around the world.
KEY PRODUCTS
- Betradar – Betradar can provide all the necessary services to run a bookmaker operation, including fixtures, results, odds compiling, trading tools, in-running services, and statistics and live scores. It is a one stop shop and also offers innovate virtual gaming products as part of the package. One feature of this is BetPal, a live trading tool which allows a single user to manage numerous matches simultaneously.
- Scoreradar – Scoreradar is the arm of Sportradar which delivers sports related live data, odds solutions and security services to major clients. Features include a live sports centre for football matches, a live match tracker for tennis and real-time in-depth coverage of all major US sports. A partnership with Onefootball, the world’s leading mobile football community, was established recently.
KEY PERSONNEL
Carsten Koerl – CEO
CEO and company founder Carsten remains the majority shareholder in Sportradar. Carsten enjoyed significant success in the betting industry prior to starting Sportradar however; he founded betandwin, now known as bwin.
Werner Klatten – President of the Board
Werner came on board in 2012 as part of the deal which saw EQT Expansion Capital become a major partner. Werner also holds non-executive positions within international TV and media companies, and he’s the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Sporthilfe.
Risto Nieminen – Board Director
Risto is the most recent addition to the board, and became the sixth member in January 2013. He has a wealth of industry experience and is a former President of the World Lottery Association and former CEO of Veikkaus, the Finnish National Lottery and Betting Agency.
