Mobile first igaming operator LeoVegas has confirmed that it has been granted a UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) operator licence.
LeoVegas management detailed that the UKGC licence had become effective on the 23 July, the operator is set to continue to ramp up its UK marketing coverage in the coming months.
In February the Malta based operator announced the launch of its first ever UK TV advertising campaign “Leo Vegas – The King of Mobile Casino”.
Johan Styren, LeoVegas CEO, commented on gaining UKGC operator approval:

The UK is one of the key markets for us so it is natural for LeoVegas, as one of the leading online and mobile gaming companies in Europe, to operate under a local license in the UK market. We have made a clear footprint as the King of Mobile Casino, and with the operator license now in place, we will keep investing in the market.”
