188BET has agreed a new 50-race partnership with Jockey Club Racecourses, which will include sponsorship of the Grade 2 Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter in November, the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase at Aintree in October and the whole card for this Saturday’s Prelude Hurdle Day at Market Rasen.
The sponsorship will run from this month until January 2017, with 25 races at Exeter and another 25 races spread around The Jockey Club’s racecourse group. 188BET Prelude Hurdle Day, which is worth £118,400 to connections, will be televised on Channel 4 and features the £50,000 188BET Prelude Hurdle Listed Handicap.
The Old Roan Chase on Sunday 23rd October will be the feature race at Aintree on Countryside Day. Last year, the Grade 2 Limited Handicap featured four horses rated above 150, including winner Sound Investment and the previous year’s winner, Wishfull Thinking.
The Haldon Gold Cup on Tuesday 1st November will be the feature race at Exeter on Gold Cup Day. In last year’s race, winner Vibrato Valtat was one of four horses rated above 150, including multiple Grade 1 winner Sire De Grugy and the previous year’s winner, God’s Own.
