Betfair has become Liverpool Football Club‘s official betting and gaming partner in the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland, Denmark, Bulgaria and Italy. The partnership will see Betfair using the strength and scale of LFC’s digital platforms to connect with fans in these regions, bringing Betfair’s range of innovative betting products, including Price Rush and Cash Out, to fans.

Features of the partnership include social media integration ahead of LFC matches, advertising in match day programmes and a placement on the Wi-Fi gateway. Betfair will be looking to bring its expertise in innovation and technology to provide Liverpool fans with unique offers and enhanced prices on their team.

“We’re excited to be working with a club of the scale and fame of Liverpool Football Club”, said Mark Ody, Betfair’s brand director. “Everything about Liverpool Football Club is iconic. The Kop, the passionate fans, the Liverbird on the jersey, the entertaining football. It’s a great match as Betfair excites consumers with a supercharged betting experience, bringing fans closer to the action through our innovative products.”

Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC, added: “We are delighted to be joining forces with one of the world’s largest online betting organisations. Regionalising partnerships means that we are able to work with brands, such as Betfair, in countries where they have the strongest presence and where our footprint can best match their brand objectives. Ultimately this means that we can deliver relevant and engaging programs in those regions.”
