Intralot becomes latest industry operator to join FIFA’s Early Warning System

Greek gambling operator Intralot has become the latest industry enterprise to sign a cooperation agreement with FIFA’s Early Warning System (EWS).

The partnership will see Intralot’s betting operations share information regarding its football markets with a view of further protecting the integrity of the sport and its competitions.

FIFA’s EWS program pools match information from multiple stakeholders, be it betting operators or governing bodies, with the aim of detecting any potential match-fixing or suspicious wagering patterns.

EWS has been supporting Fifa in its efforts to stamp out corruption in football since 2006.

Intralot governance was pleased that the company had agreed to join the FIFA anti-corruption program. Socrates Kokkalis, deputy chief executive of Intralot, said:

“Our new agreement with EWS at group level is the continuation of the excellent cooperation we have established since 2008, when Intralot subsidiary ‘Betting Company’ joined EWS’ international network of partners.
