Paddy Power has placed Former US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton as firm favourite to win the 2016 US General Election. The bookmaker has opened its market for US 2016, as the first major candidates announced their intentions to run for presidency.
Presenting the market to Business Insider, Paddy Power stated that it had taken on over 5000 bets since its opening on Sunday. The operator expects the US 2016 Elections to out wager 2012 US Presidency markets which recorded $3 million in bets.
At Present Hillary Clinton is favourite to win 2016 at 6/5.Furthermore the candidate is a near certainty to lead the Democratic campaign with her Primary odds set at 1/3, nearest Democratic rival Elizabeth Warren, Paddy Power has placed at 13/2.
With the Democratic candidacy favouring Hilary 2016, Paddy Power stated to Business Insider that the Republican Party Primary offered are more open field.
The bookmaker has placed former Florida Governor Jeb Bush as favourite at 2/1. However the third Bush family member to seek office, is followed by close competition from Scott Walker (Wisconsin) at 4/1 and Florida Speaker Marco Antonio Rubio at 9/2.
