Issuing a market update industry player acquisition and marketing specialist Catena Media has confirmed that it has agreed to acquire UK affiliate website Casinouk.com and all related assets for a sum of £10.6 million.

Updating investors, Catena leadership stated that the acquisition would enhance the firm’s services and coverage within the lucrative UK online gambling sector. All Casinouk.com assets will be transferred onto the Catena network, one of the largest dedicated media networks for the igaming and sports betting sectors.

The acquisition sees Stockholm-listed Catena continue its acquisition-led growth strategy. In April 2016 the company acquired leading online casino portal AskGamblers.com for a reported €15 million.

Confirming the acquisition, Robert Andersson, Chief Executive of Catena Media, commented on the deal;

“We are very pleased to make another strategic acquisition in the UK, a market where we have advanced our position considerably during 2016.

“The acquired assets of casinouk.com will make a great addition to our UK casino vertical, whereas our previous investments in the UK during 2016, including newly acquired SBAT, have been more sportsbook related.”
