Jorn Starck has been appointed as the new Executive Director of regulator Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC).
Starck replaces the outgoing Andre Wilsenach, who’s left the AGCC for an academic role at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Starck is currently the AGCC Director of Regulatory Operations, a position he’s held since 2014 having been promoted after he originally joined the AGCC in 2007.
Lord Richard Faulkner, Chairman of the Commission, said of the appointment: “It was an easy decision to promote from within.”
Faulkner continued: “Jorn has already over many years been a key player in the AGCC’s success as an eGambling regulator, and we are excited about this new chapter in the AGCC’s story.”
Starck said of the news: “With the strong relationships I already have with industry, government and other stakeholders, together with the support of the Commissioners and a very experienced team around me, I am very confident about the future of Alderney as an eGambling jurisdiction.”
