Mr Green acquires mybet Italia operations

Nordic online casino firm Mr Green & Co, confirmed this morning that it had agreed to acquire mybet Italia. The move sees Mr Green &Co, further its European igaming expansion by entering the Italian market.

Mr Green & Co governance, did not disclose the price of the acquisition of mybet Italia. The acquisition of mybet italia was need in order for the operator to enter the Italian online gambling market.

At present the Italian gambling regulator Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS) will not issue any new online gambling licenses to international gambling operators, forcing interested parties to gain market entry by partnering with existing operators or acquiring licensed online betting and gaming operators.

Former Mybet holdings brand, mybet Italia had been sold to Italy managing director Gianluca Torricelli in September 2014, as mybet holdings looked to restructure its European business channels. Torricelli would plan an extensive overhaul of the mybet italia business in order to find a buyer for its operations.

Mr Green & Co confirmed that it would migrate and re-brand all mybet italia operations under the MrGreen.it brand and operations.
