SBC: How did you first get into sports betting?
Alec: While in high school I used to play some organized football and it was there when I started my first glory hunter attempts with 10-game footy accumulators! J I even secretly sold my monthly bus ticket that my mum bought to me in exchange of walking every day to and from school only to have extra funds for betting!
SBC: At what point did you realize that you can make some real money from sports betting?
Alec: At first I realized I can make some real cash during college when I managed to profit on many victorious Man Utd matches but of course it was a false sense back then since I wasn’t “math” ready at that time. I had to wait a few more years and gain tons of experience from the other side of the “fence” before starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
SBC: How did you come to select horse racing as your chosen sport?
Alec: At some stage of my grown life I had the chance to work for a worldwide known online bookie and there I was introduced to the “math” side of things! Originally I spent an unhealthy amount of time within various sports departments and as soon as I decided I wanted to go solely on my own I pushed myself to even more unhealthy hours within the horse racing trading room in order to learn as much as possible before I sailed away! At that time I was already well deep into the other sports handicapping but having a series of some mind-opening moments on pricing, odds movement and risk/reward ratio stuff made me realize soccer might be the ‘King Of Sports’ but horse racing is actually the ‘King Of Profits!’
SBC: Are there any particular events that you look forward to throughout the year?
Alec: Not really! Although I plan for the long-term I’m so busy handicapping various events that every Monday of the year is as equally important as the forthcoming Saturday & Sunday! Every game or race is like a final to me, so I look forward to every single event on the sports betting calendar!
SBC: What was your best ever bet?
Alec: My best bet ever was a few years ago when I had to convince my wife leaving a well-paid job as a bookie for an unsecure home based handicapping activity was not all that bad a thing and I bet her I’d get a job in the local copper mine if I failed! HONESTLY!
SBC: What kind of factors do you evaluate before making a selection?
Alec: Regarding the races, before any of my selections go live I start evaluating the form first, then the track conditions, the odds shaping and soon after I calculate the expected price movement, the selection is ON! It’s a similar approach with other sports, only the time spent on 2 races versus 25 games on any given day is the difference!
SBC: Do you have any future plans in regards to your service?
Alec: Yes, my future plan is to upgrade my sports betting algorithms closer to perfection in order to deliver maximum profit to the BA customers not only via the HORSE RACING service but the other SPORTS services of mine as well!
SBC: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your betting career?
Alec: Well, the highest hurdle of my betting career has never stopped being such because I’ve raised the bar so high for myself it’s sometimes painful to try being 24/7/365 involved in betting! Every following morning is my biggest challenge as I try to push myself up to the limit by not only tipping all those sports but also watching them, analyzing them and betting on them! And the following morning, and the one after, and so on, and so on…
SBC: How do you balance your betting time and family life?
Alec: Just by reading the answer to #9, you should have probably realized I’m divorced nowadays but Thanks God I have a loving, caring and very supportive wife, who let me pursue my dreams! If I concentrated on one sport I may have even survived with an unsupportive wife but if you’re looking for the key to the family balance with a tipster hubby, then look no further than your better half! J
SBC: Do you have a favorite team/horse that you follow regularly?
Alec: I used to be a season ticket holder incl. big spender in the fan club but soon after I already knew my heart must stay in front of the door and the stats to come inside. I gave away all the tickets, shirts, books etc. to my best mate and so I’m now completely naked and cold regarding any favorite team or animal!
SBC: How do you keep calm when you hit a run of losing bets
Alec: Some of my old furniture doesn’t live with me anymore thanks to some constant finishing 2nd horses, referees disallowing obvious goals or useless last second points scored at the hoops! But that’s all history now and all my chairs, desks, wardrobes are intact thanks to the fact I overcame that suicidal feeling of the market doing it to you on purpose! I’m away from my tempering 20s and with a much more stable psychology nowadays on top of witnessing just about everything in sports, I now know those losing runs are just part of the game and you cannot do anything short-term! Long-term is the difference and staying relaxed & focused despite the losses is the key for the door where only 3% of bettors ever enter!
SBC: How do you organize your bank management?
Alec: Nothing scientific here as I stick to the simple flat staking approach! Getting into the temptation to stake according to your feelings instead of your Excel spreadsheets and you’re immediately introduced to Club 97%! J
SBC.What is the best reason you could give to anyone who was thinking about following your service?
Alec: Let me tell you what I learnt from my soccer coach once upon a time when I was still dreaming of signing for a Premiership team… He used to repeat that ‘winning is all about PEER! That means perfect Preparation, Energy on the field, maximum Effort and being Ready to leave your life on the pitch so no one accuses you of not giving 120% of yourself. And if you cover it all, you can go to bed tonight with a clear conscience that you belong to the fighters that might lose a battle or two but claim the victory at the end!’
So you have me Prepared and experienced, giving all my Energy & Effort in the pursuit of profit to you, the client, and I always give 120% of myself handicapping!
