Tipster Profile: Andreas Kloft

tipster-andreas-kloftAndreas Kloft, a rugby tipping specialist on Bet Advisor, takes us through how he became a professional tipster and how he has achieved a staggering +25.72% yield in the past 3 months.

How did you first get into sports betting ?

I was investing in stock market and then one of my friends from stock market recommended to bet on sports. I was interesting because I do love rugby and I thought: “I have to take advantage of my wide knowledge in Rugby.”

At what point did you realise that you can make some real money from sports betting?

I realise since I checked that the bookmakers sometimes made mistake with the line of rugby, especially in the handicap and over/unders points.

How did you come to select rugby as your chosen sport?

I’ve been betting professionally for the last 9 years and have found that if you want to make money consistently and with some stability then you have to learn to specialise. For that reason I decided to focus on rugby, the sport that I have loved since childhood. I’ve got friends and family who have played rugby all their lives (not professionally) and I have them to thank for introducing me to the sport at an early age, it’s the knowledge I’ve picked up since then that allows me to be successful in making my selections. I would like to add that Rugby is a special sport, stats are important but you can’t just ‘bet by numbers’ because of the way the bookies establish their lines.

In this sport the form of both player and team are vitally important. For each team there are 15 players on the field plus the bench so it is very important to be up date with the team news. I watch as many matches as I can because I find that I can pick up a lot of information just by watching a game, things that aren’t covered by pure stats.

The ability of each player in certain positions is important information in case the coach decides to switch players around, some players thrive in that kind of situation, others don’t do so well. The weather is an important factor to consider as well, it can significantly affect the development of a match.

To sum up, the target of every tipster is to find value, therefore my strategy is based 20% on statistics and 80% on other factors, many of which I have already outlined.

Are there any particular events that you look forward to throughout the year?

It is obvious that Super XV is the best competition because it is pure spectacle. The most of the team playing running rugby. I am looking forward for the World Cup of Rugby the next year in England.

SBC News Tipster Profile: Andreas KloftSBC News Tipster Profile: Andreas KloftWhat kind of factors do you evaluate before making a selection?

The most important thing is the starting line up of both teams that you can check at least 1 day before, so it is very relevant to know which are the best players and which players are in better form of each teams. It is also important which team will play with more motivation because sometimes you can see teams that when they play away, like in Top14 from France, they play with mix squad or B team. The strategy of each coach is very relevant for the simple reason that some of them focus in the forward pack and some of them in the backline.

My background in Economics has certainly helped my betting career a lot because I took the skills from that arena and applied it to creating a system based on statistical data. That isn’t the whole story though as betting on stats alone will eventually lead to losses. Why? The bookies also know all about the stats and they use them to establish their lines and as well all know, when you play the bookies game, they will eventually end up the winners.

In order to really profit medium and long term, you have to find an extra edge and in my case that is knowing as many of the finer details as I can. That, combined with experience gained through years of research and watching matches, gives me the edge I need to win consistently.

What has been the biggest influence on your betting career?

My biggest influence have been my Money Management because is the key to cope the bad run of losses.

Do you have any future plans in regards to your service?

Right now I invest around 8 hours in the weekend in order to get the best tips in European rugby because is my favourite competition in order to make a lot of money as you can check it. With the regard to the future as I said I am looking forward to the WC.

What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your betting career?

To cope with the bad run of losses because it is impossible to win everything, for this reason you need strong mentality and to trust in yourself , especially if you have a long experience in betting and you have won a lot of money. The target is the long term.

How do you balance your betting time and family life?

Well, Right now I do not have children so I have enough time to get the best tips. I dedicate full time of rugby because I live from betting so the rest of the time I can dedicate to my friends and family.

SBC News Tipster Profile: Andreas KloftDo you have a favourite team that you follow regularly?

I do like teams from Super XV because they played the best rugby of the world, like Waratahs this season where they deserved to win the title.

How do you keep calm when you hit a run of losing bets?

To trust yourself, patient and money management is the key.

How do you organise your bank management?

I try to bet around 2% of my bank in each bet. If my bank goes up I will bet 2% as well but it is obvious that more quantity and the opposite as well.

The most important part of my strategy is bank management, for the simple reason that it is key to making money long term, every tipster will go through a bad run of consecutive losses, if you haven’t managed your money properly then you are going to find it hard to succeed in this world. I would say that 95% of people who lose money at the bookies do so because of poor money management.

What is the best reason you could give to anyone who was thinking about following your service?

You have to follow someone with at least 600 tips and yield at least of 5% because it means that you have a wide sample. In my case I have 719 tips with 8.17% yield. It is also very important the analysis of each tip, in my case all my teams have strong information.

It is very relevant to be sure that the website is 100% reliable because there are many scams around the website and from my point of view Bet Advisor is the best website by far because they are very professional and reliable.
