The operator currently has ‘the largest draft style user base in the industry’ and plans to continue its growth by allowing users to participate in weekly and daily drafts for the Premier League. It aims to disrupt the market in the UK and Europe.

In response to the recent capital funding, Tyler Swartz VP of Marketing at Draft Fantasy stated: “Our game has experienced tremendous traction to date, and Draft Fantasy plans to implement daily and weekly games in hopes of continuing our current growth trajectory.

“Daily and weekly games should increase sign ups and traction, as well as complement our season long offering.” Draft Fantasy has been in touch with numerous niche influencers and aims to work closely with them once the weekly offering is launched.”

The company is planning to move into various territories beginning in the UK. A number of second tier operators in the UK switched to B2B offerings in recent times but the Draft Fantasy team is convinced that a business model in B2C is viable. Indeed others agree with the likes of Premier Punt recently raising over £200,000 on Seedrs and ASAP Italia launching its Sportito vertical.

Swartz told SBC: “We plan on starting our offering in the U.K. and then moving to other markets across the world. Right now we have users from over 130 different countries and plan on bringing them a dfs style of game in the future. The plan is to focus on perfecting the product for our U.K. users before we expand to other markets.

“The state of DFS is still in the very early stages and we expect to see the game become more adopted as time goes on. To me, the adoption of the style is based off of education.”
