Expanding its product portfolio and services within the European online betting sector, sports data and insights provider Sportradar has announced that it has entered a strategic joint-venture with ASAP Italia, the operator of leading Italian betting player portal Superscommesse.it.
Updating the market Sportradar informs that partnership will aim to develop a ‘new frontier’ for sports betting in the form of Daily Fantasy Sports.
Further to the agreement with Sportradar, ASAP Italia has launched Sportito.co.uk, the DFS platform that operates with a gambling licence from the UK, and will soon be rolled out in other regulated markets such as Italy.
Both companies have a prior relationship, with Sportradar having supplied data and statistics for ASAP Italia’s Superscommesse.it portal.
On announcing the partnership, Sportradar detailed that it believed DFS to have a ‘bright future’ within European markets.
In a corporate statement released yesterday by Sportradar, the company detailed: “The implementation and enhancement of Sportradar products within the group will enable the development of important new business and projects, such as Bettingrunner.com, the international marketplace for betting enthusiasts, and Supernews, the portal dedicated to citizen journalism.”
