Best Football Marketing: Finalists

The Premiership title race is going down to the wire, but so too are the Betting on Football Awards (BFA). The nominations for the finalists have been counted and placed into a shortlist, it’s now your turn to tell us who will be badge kissing and doing a lap of honour at the Octoberfest pub on the 8 May.

Best Football Marketing Finalists:

  •  Betfair – YouTube Live Odds CampaignBetfair already runs live odds into its TV adverts, however Grand Parade achieved a World first by showing live odds on top of their YouTube videos, both for their Premier League advertising campaign and their archived YouTube video content. The ability to overlaying live, dynamic content onto existing YouTube video footage also took YouTube’s team by surprise, and they are now working directly with Grand Parade on further enhancements.
  • Matchbook – 0% Commission – Matchbook re-launched its website and European sports betting service with a 0% Commission focusing on driving the best value to punters. Matchbook marketing also extended its brand coverage through promotion of its brand with charity Right To Play.
  • Paddy PowerBall of Shame – Paddy Power’s Ball of Shame, focused on reactive marketing and social engagement with fans throughout the football season, giving away prizes to football fans who had been hard done by events on the pitch.
  • Skybet – Whatif – Skybet launched the all action Whatif campaign at the start of the 2013/14 football season. Campaign looked to capture those key ‘What if’ moments that drive a player’s engagement and emotions with regards to football.
  • Unibet – Experts Sofa –Unibet first ever UK TV advertisement the “Expert Sofa”, aimed to give players expert advice regarding football betting on upcoming events. Campaign featured popular sporting and media figures giving insight. Unibet supported its campaign through guest blogging on the Unibet blog and engaging its social communities and networks with its selected experts!
